Omahu Bush Sunday
5 January 2020
Four trampers braved cold windy conditions and New Year lethargy to do the first day tramp of the year. There was a bitterly cold and gusty wind with drizzle at the Gibraltar Rock carpark. Parkas were donned and we set off into the bush.
Once in the valley we were protected from the worst of the wind and walked down the Rhodes Track and back up the Kirks Track. Back at the Summit Road the wind was still fierce and a side trip to Gibraltar Rock or Coopers Knob did not appeal so we decided to call it a day. Diane Dixon (leader)
